Our own 50 MW BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) development with a 4-5-hour discharge and ~98% recognition factor located in the commune of Lo Pinto, Province of Chacabuco, Metropolitan Region. It is located approximately 22 km east of Santiago. High penetration of intermittent renewable energies has created a flexibility challenge for the system, as the current infrastructure is not prepared to absorb solar surpluses during the day and meet peak demand. Solutions like our BESS stabilize energy and store green power to be used during high- demand periods. Regulatory incentives such as guaranteed capacity payments in the amount of up to 50% of revenue make this an attractive portion of our investment portfolio.
